Data Processing Officer I/II
Job Summary
The Data Processing Officer is mainly responsible for the keying of all earnings schedules submitted by employers and self-employed persons.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures the accurate transfer of employee and self-employed earnings to the correct Insured Persons account.
- Identifies errors on documents and routes them to the Insurance Officer IVs for troubleshooting.
- Keys earnings schedules and listings submitted by employers.
- Assists with the filing of earnings documents as necessary.
- Assists with special projects where data entry skills are required, as necessary.
- Assists in clarification of errors generated during the keying of the earnings.
- Performs any other job-related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
Data Processing Operator I
- Not less than four CXC subjects at general proficiency level, including English Language and Electronic Document Preparation and Management.
- Not less than three years’ relevant experience.
Data Processing Operator II
- Not less than three CXC subjects at general proficiency level, including English Language and Electronic Document Preparation and Management.
Skills and other attributes desired
- Sound computer skills.
- Sound numeracy skills.
- Good analytical and organizational skills.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Attention to details.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
