We’re looking for a motivated bookkeeper that will be an asset to our company and support the accountant with day-to-day financial tasks. The selected individual will be responsible for recording, balancing, and reporting financial information.
Part-Time Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
- Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner, and submitting payroll taxes.
- Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basis.
- Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner.
- Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments.
- Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.
- Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarisation of data
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Bookkeeper Requirements:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
- 3-5 years relevant experience working in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
